2017, Royal College of Art
During the last term of first year at the Royal College of Art, we were asked to design a retail space - a wine shop. The location for the wine shop was 25 Eccleston Place between Victoria and Belgravia in Westminster, London.
The main focus for the project was materials and details.
I decided to explore a monochrome color and go further into investigating the different materials and variation of texture and how they can differentiate even though it is the same color.
Red is a very powerful color. Its presence would be too exciting and would supposedly put our nerves to vivid. The red holds its reputation for its non-negligible symbolism, which we all know instinctively. And yet: this warmth, this immediate comforting effect that one feels in the presence of red is undeniable.
